Elon Musk has corrected Canadian singer Grimes' explanation of their bizarre baby name, but she wasn't having any of it.
The tech entrepreneur and his partner sent the internet into meltdown when they revealed that their baby boy is called X Æ A-12, with 32-year-old Grimes subsequently explaining why they called their child something so unusual.
Musk tweeted the following picture of X Æ A-12, with a Post Malone tattoo filter on:

Grimes tweeted to say that the "A-12" part of their newborn son's name is the "precursor to SR-17" otherwise known as the couple's "favourite" aircraft, causing Musk to interject with a correction.
He replied: "SR-71, but yes."
According to the Independent, A-12 is known to be a reference to the Lockheed A-12, a CIA aircraft codenamed Archangel.
But Grimes wasn't happy about being corrected by her partner in this way and replied: "I am recovering from surgery and barely alive so may my typos b forgiven but, damnit [sic]."
Grimes - whose real name is Claire Boucher - added: "That was meant to be profound."
Shortly after correcting his partner, Musk 48, appeared to realize that he had made a mistake and replied with a compliment in a bid to rectify the situation (and presumably avoid an actual confrontation with the mother of his child).
"U r a powerful [queen and fairy]," he wrote, alongside the emojis for both.
Musk's recovery appeared to work, as Grimes replied to his compliment writing "Haha E" alongside the hearts emoji.
The singer had previously tweeted an explanation of the baby's unusual name, writing: "X, the unknown variable.
"•Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence) •A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent [sic]."
Now, we know what you are thinking, how on Earth are people going to even pronounce this baby's name? Well, Musk appeared to provide a hint when he liked a tweet suggesting that the correct pronunciation is X Ash Archangel.

While there's no doubt that every baby is brilliant in their own way, on account of just how unusual X Æ A-12's name is, we imagine that we will be hearing a lot more about him in the future!
