Tom Holland's new show on Apple TV has been gaining some attention online and it's not because people are actually enjoying it.
Fans were left shocked and scandalized after seeing the latest episode of The Crowded Room thanks to one pretty graphic scene of the 27-year-old getting intimate in the back of a gay nightclub with a handsome stranger.
Holland's character, Danny Sullivan, can be seen "taking back shots" - as eloquently put by social media users - while making pretty vibrant facial expressions.
And we can't forget about his eyeliner dripping down his face, can we?
It's truly a sight to see especially considering the fact that we're used to Holland playing the sweet and innocent little hero, Peter Parker.
Let's just say fans could not stop themselves from commenting on the scene, with many pointing out just how graphic it actually was.
While some praised the Spider-Man star for his versatility, others couldn't help but poke fun at his willingness to portray such a different role.
"Me when I see Tom Holland receiving backshots..." wrote one user.
"Just woke up to Tom Holland getting his back blown out in a bathroom stall??" Added another.
"Why do I feel like no one’s talking about the crowded room???? I can’t believe it got bad reviews???? It’s literally incredible tom holland is SO talented and versatile," a third stated.
Some also praised the actor for his skills throughout the entire show with one pointing out: "It’s the way tom holland shifts EVERYTHING between the characters!!! from the posture to the way he speaks and moves and the look in his eyes. even in the silence it’s never a question who’s in control because of these details."
Others couldn't help but bring up Zendaya in this situation, as she was also recently involved in a movie that involved some risque scenes.
"It’s so funny to see Spider-Man Tom Holland taking back shots in a movie. Maybe he’s still mad at Zendaya," joked one person while another also included an iconic Robert Downy Jr reaction alongside the caption: "Zendaya watching Tom Holland get hit from the back."
The news comes after the Marvel alum admitted that playing Sullivan in the Apple TV series "broke him", so much so that he announced he would be taking a break from acting.
Speaking to ExtraTV about the 10-episode project which Holland also helped to produce, he said: "I loved the learning curve of becoming a producer. I’m no stranger to hard work, I’ve always lived by this idea that hard work is good work. I really enjoyed it but then again, the show did break me."
"There did come a time when I was sort of, 'I need to have a break.' I disappeared. I went to Mexico for a week and had some time on a beach and lay low. And I’m now taking a year off, and that is a result of how difficult this show was," he continued.
Speaking about his plans for his break, Holland added: "I’ve done a little bit of traveling. I had an amazing time. I’ve been seeing my family, seeing my friends. I’ve been playing golf. I’ve been going to the garden center and buying plants and doing my best to keep them alive. I’ve just been trying to be a regular bloke from Kingston and just relax."
The Crowded Room is now available to watch on Apple TV.
