Alexei is now everyone's favorite 'Stranger Things' character
Dr. Alexei: He loves Slurpees and nature. When he's not watching Looney Toons or playing darts to win stuffed animals, you can find him taking long walks on the beach (probably).
In the third season of Stranger Things, Alexei broke the internet. He also broke the stereotype that, to love a character, you need to grow accustom to them, like the rest of the cast of Stranger Things. Though only shown briefly, the relatable Alexei became the best part of the season, according to some fans.
Without saying too much to give away the series, Alexei plays an engineer who knows some top-secret information about the strange going-ons in the town of Hawkins, where the show is set. One thing the other characters quickly find out about him? He's easily bribed.
Alexei will cave, but he has his demands: Burger King Whoppers and a 7/11 Slurpee. The shot of him happily sucking down his sugary drink turned into an instant meme, along with a still from the carnival scene.
Later, at the Hawkins Fun Fair, he wins a nice stuffed animal price and smiles the biggest grin I've ever seen. Hello sweet, wholesome prince.
And though we didn't see much of Alexei, his impact was lasting. Stranger Things fans' fondness for Alexei exploded on Twitter as they out poured their love for him.
And if you didn't get enough of Alexei in season three, just wait until later this year. Alec Utgoff, the actor who plays the loveable dork, is also starring in a Dracula miniseries out in 2019.
Though season three of Stranger Things has commenced, Alexei will not be forgotten. The next time you enjoy a delicious cherry or strawberry Slurpee from a convenience store, don't forget to pour one out for him.
