It has now been over two weeks since the latest record-breaking instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise - Avengers: Endgame - was released in cinemas and the film has finally been given its own post-credits scene.
While featuring a post-credits scene might not be commonplace in most movies, adding a scene to tease the Avengers' next big adventure has become something of a tradition in Marvel films.
Take a look at the Avengers: Endgame post-credits scene, added two weeks after the movie's releaseNeedless to say, then, fans were pretty disappointed when they noticed that Avengers: Endgame came without one.
Endgame may be the end of this current phase of the MCU, but cinemagoers were surprised not to see a post-credits scene considering all the recent Marvel movies have had one.
Well, fortunately for fans, the film now has an official post-credits scene. And that very scene also happens to be the new Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer.
Far From Home leads straight on from the aftermath of Endgame. The trailer has so many Endgame spoilers, in fact, that it actually came with a spoiler warning when it was dropped earlier this week.
The Spider-Man trailer had not been played at cinemas prior to screenings of Endgame simply because it would spoil some major scenes in the movie, and will instead be shown after the credits.
Now, anyone who goes to an Endgame screening will see a message from Spider-Man actor Tom Holland encouraging the audience to stick around for the new trailer after the credits, according to Deadline.
Chris Evans shares a behind-the-scenes look at Avengers: EndgameWhile using a full-length trailer as a Marvel post-credits scene is rare, this actually isn't the first time it's been done before. Indeed, the post-credits scene for Captain America: The First Avenger was a tease for The Avengers.
Anyway, if you've already been to see Endgame sans post-credits scene, you can now watch the scene - that is, the new Spider-Man trailer - above.
Avengers: Endgame is out in cinemas now. Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released on July 2.
