Avengers: Endgame is getting closer with each day, so the marketing is stepping up a notch. For a while, there were no trailers at all - and it took them months before they even gave us a title. After that, the two trailers we were given gave very little away, aside from teasing what we already knew we were going to be getting later this month.

Now that we've April, that's changed a little bit. The trailers are starting to show a little more of what we're going to get come April 25, and we've now we've got TV spots and posters coming left and right.

As someone wants to go in as fresh as possible, I've muted 'Avengers' and 'Endgame' on Twitter and am ready to fortify myself in a bunker somewhere until I can head out to an opening day screening free of spoilers.

Another part of the build-up is some press interviews with the cast, including a recent one starring all of the big stars of the upcoming sequel. It'd be hard to beat Jeff Goldblum, who hosted the press conference last year, but Jon Favreau is taking up the mantle - seeing as he directed and starred in the MCU's very first film (Iron Man) over 10 years ago.

Following Avengers: Infinity War's cliffhanger ending, he starts off with a joke - leaving seats empty for all the actors who... couldn't make it.

At one point, Robert Downey Jr. asks the question we all want to know: what's better, Captain America with a beard, or without?

Also at the California event was Karen Gillan, who started off her Marvel appearances in Guardians of the Galaxy and made it all the way to this year's conclusion. Even those who were fans of the Scottish actress in Doctor Who and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle may have missed that it was her playing Nebula underneath all that makeup.

While she was there, she spoke a little about her character and her journey, but stumbled a little as she tried to avoid giving anything away - and ended up confirming something about where Nebula's story will take her.

“It’s maybe safe to say she suffers from some daddy issues because her dad is Thanos, so who wouldn’t?” she said. “I’m excited for her to face the source of this abuse. She’s talked about how she wants to inflict revenge, so we all know about that. I’d like to see her try to face that.”

Worried that she revealed too much, she said: "I don’t know if she will. Maybe she won’t. I just got really nervous and I gave something away, so I’m going to stop."

While she hasn't revealed anything specific about what will happen in Endgame - it looks like she and big bad Thanos will be meeting again, and she will be trying to get some sort of revenge. Don't mind me, I'm heading back in my bunker before I find out anything else...
