When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die - that's according to Cersei Lannister, anyway, and she's proven to have basically been right so far.

Over the past eight years, we've watched helplessly as our favourite characters have been hacked, burnt, and even squished to death, and - with the last season only a matter of months away - there really aren't that many contenders left for the iron throne.

Cersei herself is still in the running, of course, as are her two Lannister brothers, but are any of them likely to be ruling over the seven kingdoms by the time season eight is over? And what about the Stark siblings - might they have a shot at claiming Westeros as their own? Or perhaps a complete outsider could swoop in and steal the title? (Personally, I think Brienne would look *fabulous* with a crown atop her head).

Well, we still have a while until we find out for sure, but, in the meantime, one person's boss has made an epic prediction sheet for employees to stake their bets on how the frontrunners of the long-running series will end up.

The sheet has the names of 27 characters, along with three options for each: will they end up dead, alive, or as a white walker? Entrants are instructed to pick an option for each character, and can only mark a person as a white walker if they also mark them as dead (duh). For every correct prediction, they gain a point. For every incorrect walker prediction, they lose a point.

And then comes the more interesting part - the bonus questions.

Now, I'm a pretty big fan of the series, but Game of Thrones is notorious for its plot twists, so guessing the outcome is almost an impossibility at this point. However, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Daenerys isn't pregnant, The Mountain kills the Night King (only because a zombie vs zombie fight would be so cool), and that Bran holds the iron throne (because then poor Hodor won't have died for nothing).

While we still don't know a lot about what's going to happen in the end, we do have a few hints from cast members about the final outcome.

"People have come up with so many fan theories about how it’s going to end, and who will end up where, and who will end up with who," said Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark. "It really is so unpredictable the way that it ends up. I’m very satisfied with that, and I think that the fans will be satisfied with that, too."

Meanwhile, Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow, said that filming season eight was a gruelling experience: "Everyone was broken at the end. I don't know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so f*****g tiring. We were sleep deprived."

With only a few months to go now, the whispers about who wins and who dies are getting louder and louder - and April can't come soon enough.
