It's now been over five years since Breaking Bad aired its final episode, and over a decade since its very first episode premiered. Since then, it's become solidified as one of the greatest TV shows of all time and one of the beacons of the golden era of television. Making a good show is one thing, but sticking the landing is a difficult task that many shows struggle with.

Despite that, the show's creator, Vince Gilligan, is dipping his toes back into the crystal blue waters of the world he created. Prequel series Better Call Saul is still airing to high critical acclaim, but now it appears there's a full-on Breaking Bad movie in the works, starring Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston.

Deadline previously reported the film was in the works, with Jesse Pinkman as the main protagonist and Walter White's inclusion only rumoured (and kind of finicky, when you think about it).

A log line from the New Mexico Film Office described the movie as a story following the escape of a kidnapped man, on his quest for freedom. Reported by The Alberqueque Journal, this does sound like it's describing Paul's character.

While it's still unclear what exactly this movie would entail, or whether Bryan Cranston will turn up at all, the actors are stirring the waters a little. Both Paul and Cranston have recently made cryptic posts on social media, with a photo of two donkeys and the caption "soon".

To follow that up was another image - this time captioned "Even sooner," and depicting both actors wading through a river together.

So what is this all about? Does it have anything to do with Breaking Bad? Is Walt really dead? Is it a prequel? Are they starting up a travelling show?

Either way, it looks like we'll find out... soon.
