Okay, everybody. Deep breath. Wow, that was a crazy way to end things, huh? Nope, I'm not talking about Avengers: Endgame or the final season of Game of Thrones (we've got so many endings to look forward to in 2019, huh?).
I'm talking about the end of the first season of the Netflix show Dead To Me, a show with so many twists and turns that rollercoaster architects are watching the show intently, hoping to take a couple of pointers from it.
The show premiered last week, and I hope you've been binging like I have and are aware of the emotional whiplash that I am suffering right now, because I just got to the end and... oh wow.
Here's a trailer for the Netflix show Dead To Me, just to set the mood:In case you didn't know (in which case, what're you doing reading an article about Dead To Me?!), Steve - as portrayed by James Marsden - gets brutally murdered by Judy (played by none other than Linda Cardinelli). Judy, of course, accidentally killed Jen's husband in a hit and run accident, and Christina Applegate's character is none too pleased about that.
If nothing else, it means that our female protagonists might unwittingly be back in each other's lives - Jen told Judy that the only way she could earn forgiveness was to "disappear off the f**king planet", and once Judy realises that her husband has been accidentally murdered in a tit-for-tat of the hit and run which set the plot into motion, it should make for some compelling season two viewing.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves: let's see what the internet has to say about the ending of Dead To Me:
Ha, just kidding. Most people had their minds blown by the intense twist ending:
Safe to say, everyone's pretty delighted, and more importantly, they're really excited for a season two. And looking at that season one ending, wouldn't you be too?
