There's no doubt that Bill and Ted are two of the most beloved comedy characters ever.

The two chill-yet-bumbling Californian teenagers, portrayed by Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, first appeared back in 1989 when they were given a phone box time machine (which, unlike the TARDIS, was just as cramped inside as out) and sent on a mission to kidnap various historical figures for the sake of a high school assignment, in a bid to avoid military school. Yeah; it was that kind of story.

Then, they were killed and sent on a supernatural journey through the afterlife by their android duplicates in a 1991 sequel entitled: 'Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.' Since then, fans have been clamoring for another movie to cap off a trilogy, and at long last, it looks like we'll be getting one.

Keanu Reeves recently made a surprise appearance in the new Spongebob Squarepants movie, check out his incredible cameo here:

Now the very first images have been released of Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter in the upcoming third installment, which is entitled: 'Bill and Ted Face the Music.'

The pictures show Bill and Ted inside their own time-traveling phone box, as well as an appearance from the Grim Reaper, and their daughters Thea and Billie (played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine).

Commenting on the movie's plot in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, writer Chris Matheson stated: "They were told when they were teenagers that they were going to save reality, and they’ve been working on it the whole time. Now an emissary from the future comes and says, ‘You’ve got to do it right now. We’ve got literally 80 minutes or all of reality will come to an end.’"

However, this isn't the only Keanu Reeves movie lined up on the horizon, and now we've learned that the fourth Matrix movie and the fourth John Wick film are due to be released in cinemas in the same week!
