Friends fans can't get over an incredible casting decision after seeing one young actor all grown up.

Back in 1998, Joshua Duvall Preston - who was just a young boy at the time - was cast in the hit US sitcom as a young Chandler Bing.

Preston appeared in the season 5 episode 'The One With All The Thanksgivings' and appeared in a flashback scene that explained why Chandler hated the holiday - a storyline that had been established since the ninth episode of the show way back in 1994.

The scene showed young Chandler being told by his mom - played by Morgan Fairchild - that she and his father were getting a divorce.

"Now, Chandler dear, just because your father and I are getting a divorce it doesn't mean we don't love you. It just means he would rather sleep with the house-boy than me," Mrs Bing says, before the housekeeper delivers the iconic line: "More turkey, Mr. Chandler?"

And with that like, Preston delivers an incredible shocked face towards the actor playing his father.

Chandler Bing was, of course, played by the late great Matthew Perry, who sadly died at his LA home last year at the age of 54.

Thankfully, with platforms such as Netflix streaming the popular show, Perry's legacy lives on and fans of the show are still enjoying the star's comedic genius.

Now, fans are also noticing a new detail in the show: Just how incredible Preston's casting really was.

Now aged 35, Preston has gone viral on social media after people realized the striking resemblance he now bears to Perry.

"Ladies and Gentlemen I present you Joshua Duvall Preston, the guy who played young Chandler on the Thanksgiving episode, and he totally looks like Matthew Perry. Honest to God, the best casting," one Redditor wrote on the platform.

"We talk a lot about what the babies of the show look like now, but oh man, this is wild," one person commented.

"Never looked him up until today. They have the same smile," another replied.

One person even asked: "Is Joshua Preston related to Matthew Perry?"

And another commented: "WOW that’s wild!!"

Prior to his small role in Friends, Preston was also cast as Arthur Nixon in the 1995 movie, Nixon. He would go on to appear in the hit show Alternative Lifestyle in 2017 and in short movies such as Dark West (2017) and The Woods (2017).

Honestly, kudos to the casting department:

But this isn't the first time the casting department on the show nailed it, as fans were recently amazed by the choice of Phoebe's birth mom following the death of Teri Garr.
