It's been 25 years since Friends first appeared on our television screens, and even with plenty of other contenders airing since that time, the show is still widely considered to be one of the best sitcoms of all time.

The cast has all gone on to other things since the show ended, but ever since the finale way back in 2004 the fans have been clamoring for some kind of reunion. Even if it only consists of getting six of them back in one room again to talk about the show, or even to see them reprise the roles that made them household names.

Jennifer Aniston discussed the possibility of a reunion on the Ellen Degeneres Show:

However, according to a recent report by Deadline, a Friends reunion is expected to happen. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry have reached an agreement with HBO and Warner Bros.

The stars are to appear in an hour-long reunion special, with each actor being paid approximately $4 million to return. Not only that, but the original series creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane are expected to have some involvement in the special.

Previously, Aniston had teased the possibility of joining Instagram in a prior interview. Per The Daily Mail, she stated: "[On social media] you can actually have a little bit more control over the narrative that's out there. [You can] right some wrongs and some silly things that, God knows, are said often. Maybe [I'll join]. You never know."

Lisa Kudrow and Courtney Cox have also discussed reunion rumors:

She added: "Our producers wouldn't want it, wouldn't let us. Look, it's not been without our desire to, because our fans have wanted it so much ... It would have been fun. We could have redesigned it for a couple of episodes. But whatever. Maybe it's better this way, but we'll never know."
