The wait is finally over; The Haunting Of Bly Manor has landed on Netflix.

Halloween may still be three weeks away, but that doesn't mean Netflix isn't here to guarantee we get the spooks and screams we all deserve.

Check out the terrifying trailer for the second installment of the show below:

Based on the Henry James novel The Turn of the Screw, the new series is the second installment of Netflix's 'Haunting' series, following the overwhelming success of The Haunting Of Hill House.

The official Netflix synopsis for the new series reads:

"From The Haunting of Hill House creator Mike Flanagan and producer Trevor Macy comes The Haunting Of Bly Manor, the next highly-anticipated chapter of the Haunting anthology series, set in 1980s England and based on Henry James' 1898 novella The Turn of the Screw.

"After an au pair's tragic death, Henry Wingrave (Henry Thomas) hires a young American nanny (Victoria Pedretti) to care for his orphaned niece and nephew (Amelie Bea Smith, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) who reside at Bly Manor with the estate's chef Owen (Rahul Kohli), groundskeeper Jamie (Amelia Eve) and housekeeper, Mrs Grose (T'Nia Miller).

"But all is not as it seems at the manor, and centuries of dark secrets of love and loss are waiting to be unearthed in this chilling gothic romance. At Bly Manor, dead doesn't mean gone."

If you aren't already calling work to pull a sickie so you can binge-watch the series in one day, I don't know what's wrong with you.

Despite being based on the Henry James novel, show creator Mike Flanagan has explained that it won’t be a like-for-like adaptation.

Speaking on a panel for the Fantasia International Film Festival Flanagan said:

"It’s not about doing a straight adaptation anymore – that’s already been done. We’d cover two episodes, and then we’d have eight episodes of filler. I need to make a 10-hour version of this."

The Haunting of Bly Manor will star some returning faces from Hill House - including Kate Siegel, Catherine Parker, Henry Thomas, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Victoria Pedretti.

And alongside them, the series will star T’Nia Miller, Amelia Eve, Amelie Smith, Benjamin Ainsworth, and Rahul Kohli.
