Since its Netflix debut last October, The Haunting of Hill House has been one of the most talked-about shows on the streaming platform. And so it was pretty inevitable that the supernatural horror series would be getting a second season.
This is the official trailer for season 1 of The Haunting of Hill House:The announcement that the anthology series would be returning - made back in February - also revealed that its upcoming second chapter, The Haunting of Bly Manor, would be based on Henry James' 1898 horror novella The Turn of the Screw.
And now, finally, the cast for the second season of the popular Netflix series has been announced. Much to the excitement of the show's dedicated viewers, the new season will feature a number of fan favourites.
Victoria Pedretti who impressed audiences with her portrayal of Nell in the first season will be returning as the second season's lead character - a governess called Dani, who is looking after two unique children.
This is the moment Victoria Pedretti announced her role in the new season:Oliver Jackson-Cohen, who played Luke Crain in season 1, will now assume the role of Peter, a "charming young man who lives at Bly" as described by the actor in a Twitter video.
Kate Siegel, who played psychic Theo Crain, is returning to the series in an unknown role. Henry Thomas, who played a young Hugh Crain in Season 1 will also be appearing in the new season in an unspecified role. And Catherine Parker, who played Poppy Hill will be returning as well.
And of course, there will also be some new faces joining the cast:
iZombie actor Rahul Kohli is set to play "a small-town guy with a worldly mindset, who has returned to the country to take care of his ailing mother," according to Deadline. Other cast members will include Years and Years star T'Nia Miller, Amelia Eve, Benjamin Ainsworth.
