At this point, it's hard to imagine Chris Hemsworth as anyone else but Thor, the dear Asgardian god of thunder who possesses the enchanted hammer.

But the truth is, the Hollywood hunk had a whole career before most of us met him in the hit superhero movie - and this career included many an unexpected moment!

So kids, buckle up and we're going to take a trip all the way back to 2006, the year that Chris took on his most fabulous role yet: as a competitor on Dancing with the Stars.

Who knew Thor could dance? Catch the Norse God shaking his stuff here:

Yes, as hard as it is to believe, the 35-year-old lit up Australian screens with his Cha-Cha-Cha, Waltz, Rumba, and many other dances - and if you haven't seen it, you need to watch immediately.

You might be wondering how exactly how happened. Well, before he hit A-lister status, Chris was on well-loved Australian soap Home and Away for three years.

As it went back then, most Home and Away actors ended up on Dancing with the Stars at one point or another - and 2006 was the Hemsworth hunk's time to shine.

Unfortunately, while the crown prince of Asgard possesses superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability and immunity to most diseases, he's not the greatest dancer.

Sadly, the Avengers: Endgame star had the lowest score for five out of the seven weeks and came in fifth place in the end.

Nonetheless, his time on Dancing with the Stars was phenomenal and we love him for doing it. We love his tank tops, haircut and hilarious claim that he was "born with it" almost just as much.

Weirdly enough, Chris' stint on the reality TV show actually almost stopped him from clinching his iconic role as Thor, with producers fearing that fans would be put off.

The actor recalled in an interview with BBC Radio 1: "[Marvel Studios president and producer] Kevin Feige said that almost lost me the job.

"[He said:] 'We all saw your audition, we were passing it around the office, and everyone was really into it. And then a few of the girls started Googling your name and up came this dancing video and I thought, oh no, Thor dancing? I don’t know, the fans are gonna eat us alive.'"

He added: "It made me more nimble on my feet, I guess. I needed to be with the cape. You might see a bit of that Dancing With The Stars quality in Thor."

Never stop dancing, Thor! We mean, Chris...
