Jason Momoa wants a 'Twins' remake with 'Game of Thrones' co-star Peter Dinklage
A cursory glance at the box office should tell us that Hollywood isn't quite reluctant to dip into the past for a movie idea. However, ever since the flop that was the Ghostbusters reboot, it's been a while since they tried to revisit the 80s - So which franchise should they remake next?
Probably not high on many people's lists is the 1988 movie Twins, where Arnold Schwarzenegger stars alongside Danny DeVito - a trick they'd repeat for the 1994 film Junior (yep, the one where Arnie gets pregnant). But let's focus on Twins for a sec; how cool would it be to see that movie remade in 2019?
Here's that Twins trailer, just to get you in the mood:
While Arnold Schwarzenegger is probably too old to reprise his role, I've got the perfect person to replace him: Jason Momoa. Plus, we've got a ready-made DeVito replacement too - none other than Tyrion Lannister himself. Yes, a Twins remake starring these Game of Thrones alumni is the movie you never knew you wanted, and even better, Jason Momoa is down for it.
Per Comicbook.com, Jason Momoa is currently down at Celebrity Fan Fest, where the Aquaman star is answering questions for rabid fans and press, and one of those questions pertained to a certain 80s remake alongside Peter Dinklage. Ever the enthusiast, Momoa was immediately down for it.
"Tell me where to sign! Absolutely. That'd be amazing. I love that movie," he said to the gathered fans at Celebrity Fan Fest.
People have been firing off good ideas all day at Celebrity Fan Fest, seemingly; he's already been primed to take over from Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, and I'm also pretty excited for that. Assuming he's got the space in his schedule for all these movies, get ready to see Jason Momoa in quite a lot soon enough. One of which will be this Twins remake alongside Peter Dinklage!
