A film shot back in 2015 has been scheduled for a release so far in the future, it's beyond the lifetime of practically all of us.

Ever chuckled at how Back To The Future Part II portrayed the future from an 80s perspective? Well, brace yourselves for a movie that your great-great-grandchildren will probably be scratching their heads over.

Move over hoverboards and Jaws 19, because there's a new contender for the boldest cinematic experiment yet.

Helmed by the talented Robert Rodriguez - famed for his work on 'From Dusk Till Dawn' - this daring project is called 100 Years, starring none other than the Emmy Award-winning actor John Malkovich.

Check out one of the three teaser trailers released for the film below:

Earning the moniker 'The Movie You Will Never See', 100 Years is an audacious sci-fi experiment, set to shock the world when it finally debuts on November 18, 2115.

Let that sink in. It's a movie for audiences of the next century! This is more daring than any Snyder cut.

But what's the reason for the colossal wait? Was the movie created to serve as a time capsule for Earth's inhabitants a century from now? Might it contain a deep, meaningful message beyond our present-day grasp? Well... not exactly.

The actual reason behind this prolonged release is far more trivial yet peculiar.

This movie, as it turns out, is essentially a grand promotional campaign for Louis XIII Cognac, a luxurious liquor that matures over a hundred years before being deemed worthy of sale. Yes, you read that right. This entire movie is essentially the most extravagant liquor advertisement ever conceived.

Check out another trailer for the film below:

In a conversation with The Guardian Life, Ludovic du Plessis, the Global Executive Director for Louis XIII Cognac, elaborated on this unconventional marketing approach. "Louis XIII is a true testament to the mastery of time, and we sought to create a proactive piece of art that explores the dynamic relationship of the past, the present, and the future," Plessis said.

"Four generations of cellar masters put a lifetime of passion into a bottle of Louis XIII, yet they will never taste the resulting masterpiece. We are thrilled that this talented actor and creative filmmaker were inspired to join us on this artistic endeavor."

For those of us currently residing in the 21st century, three tantalizing teaser trailers are available to whet our appetites.

But don't spend too much time scrutinizing them for plot details. Each trailer is accompanied by this brief description: "Director Robert Rodriguez and writer/actor John Malkovich have collaborated with the help of Louis XIII Cognac to make a movie that no one will see for 100 years. Literally.

"Here's one of three teasers that have nothing to do with the movie itself."

So, no spoilers here, folks! In fact, the movie's plot remains a total secret. All we know is that, along with Malkovich, the movie also stars Shuya Chang as the female protagonist and Marko Zaror as the antagonist.

At present, the film is securely housed in a state-of-the-art safe, meticulously engineered by French storage company Fichet-Bauche.

And finally, let's end with the final trailer:

Therefore, should you be lucky enough to find yourself around on November 18, 2115, we can only hope this film proves to be worth the century-long build!
