Margot Robbie stunned after finding out her husband was in Harry Potter
Margot Robbie, a known fan of the Harry Potter series, revealed a surprising connection to the wizarding world involving her husband, Tom Ackerley.
The actress, who has openly shared her admiration for J.K. Rowling's magical universe, disclosed that Ackerley made a brief appearance in one of the films. His role, however, was so small that it could easily be missed by casual viewers.
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Margot mentioned, “My husband is in the Harry Potter movies,” much to the amusement of the audience.
She elaborated on his cameo, saying, "He was an extra. When he was a little kid, he was one of the Slytherin extras. When Draco pushes some kids out of the way to see Buckbeak in the third book, he pushes my husband out of the way."
Margot joked, "Had you told me sooner we would've been married very quickly!" She found the revelation particularly amusing considering her longtime love for the Harry Potter franchise.
A childhood obsession with Harry Potter
Margot’s dedication to Harry Potter has been well-documented, with her passion for the series going back to her youth.
In 2016, she shared an amusing story on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, admitting that as a teenager, she lied about needing glasses just to resemble the iconic Harry Potter look. “I have 20/20 vision, and I lied to get glasses!” she confessed, recalling how she would wear them with her braces while curled up in bed, reading the books.
Her enthusiasm for the series, even at such a young age, further proves just how deep her connection to the Harry Potter world runs.
A magical connection between Margot and Tom
Margot's marriage to Tom Ackerley has been private, but this revelation adds an interesting layer to their relationship, linking her personal life with one of her biggest fandoms.
It's not every day that an actor finds out their partner had a secret link to one of the most famous film franchises in the world. For Margot, it seems that her love for Harry Potter may have started even before she met her husband.
