Keanu Reeves has been going through a bit of a career renaissance lately. After John Wick: Parabellum smashed it at the box office, many people are beginning to remember why he became famous in the first place.
Of course, Keanu is famous just as much for his kindly nature and generousness with his fans as he is for his acting abilities. In fact, his good nature has led many fans to wonder why he hasn't been offered a role in a superhero franchise yet.
With the MCU entering phase four, after the explosive climax that was Avengers: Endgame, many people are wondering if Keanu might be donning spandex in the near future.
Check out this video of Keanu recording lines for Toy Story 4:In a recent interview with reporters while promoting Spiderman: Homecoming, MCU boss Kevin Feige stated that the studio has already been in talks with Keanu to offer him a role sometime. However, much like Jake Gyllenhall (who is assuming the role of Mysterio in Homecoming), the producers haven't quite found the right character for him yet.
Feige stated: "We talk to him for almost every film we make. We talk to Keanu Reeves about… I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it."
Keanu was previously rumoured to be in the running for a part in a movie adaptation of The Eternals. Currently, the details of the movie are still hush-hush but it's due to be released in 2020. A few other celebrities are supposedly involved, including Kumail Nanjiana, Richard Madden and Angelina Jolie.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see what characters - if any - they play.
