Netflix has dropped the trailer for Unsolved Mysteries Volume 2, and it's looking just as unsettling as the first.
The streaming giant released its first look at the second installment of the mystery documentary series on its social media platforms on Thursday (October 8).
The upcoming second installment will be made up of six episodes and continues to explore mysterious cases that were simply never solved.

The new cases teased in the trailer include tsunami ghosts, stolen kids, a lady in the lake, the Washington Insider Murder, a death in Oslo, and a death row fugitive.
And just for a little more insight into what's to come, these chilling words feature at the beginning of the trailer: "Why is it important to find out why a person died 25 years ago? People die all the time... I think it’s important for the family to know what happened to her."

Following the release of the first volume of Unsolved Mysteries, Terry Dunn Meurer said in an interview with Variety, that the next installment will cover two more international cases in addition to an "unusual" story about ghosts.
The sneak peek of Unsolved Mysteries Volume 2 comes just three months after the series debuted on Netflix back in July.

The mysteries in the first volume centered around Rey Rivera’s supposed suicide, Patrice Endres’ disappearance, the death of Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès’ family and his disappearance, Alonzo Brooks’ death following a party, the alleged Berkshire UFO sightings, and the disappearances in connection with Sandy Klemp.
The series is a reboot of the original version, which ran between 1987 to 2010.
Netflix describes the reboot as "fusing signature elements from the original series with contemporary immersive, character-driven storytelling."

It continues:
"The 12 new episodes are rooted in the experiences of ordinary people who have lived the unthinkable - from the trauma of a loved one's unexplained disappearance or horrific death, to the shock of a bizarre paranormal encounter. Alongside detectives and journalists, family members offer clues, present theories, and identify suspects, hoping one viewer hold."
