It's fair to say that Netflix's original content has been a smash hit with viewers and critics alike. Just think about some of the great TV that's been made by the world's most popular streaming service: Orange Is the New Black, Bojack Horseman, and Stranger Things to name but a few.
But now the trailer has dropped for Netflix's latest project, and if you're not already then you should definitely get excited by it. Why? Because the show is based on a comic by the creator of The End of the F***ing World, and helmed by the producers of Stranger Things too.Take a look at this teaser for the show:
The trailer for the show, entitled: 'I Am Not Okay With This', has just dropped on YouTube this week, and is already creating something of a buzz. Starring IT: Part One actors Sophia Lillis and Wyatt Oleff, the show has been described by some as a blend between Twin Peaks, Freaks and Geeks, and Carrie.
According to a recent report by Collider, the show tells the story of a cynical teenager named Sydney, who is having a hard time juggling her old friendships in high school and has a crush on her friend Stanley.
However, in a shocking twist, Sydney discovers she may actually possess latent superpowers, which quickly turn her life upside-down. Judging by the fact that the trailer begins with her sprinting down a street at night, caked in blood and gore, superheroics probably wont factor into the plot of this series.Have a gander at the trailer for the new show below:
Created by author Charles Forsman with assistance from executive producer Christy Hall. Other actors starring in the show include The Good Wife’s Sofia Bryant, Episodes actor Kathleen Rose Perkins, and Greenleaf’s Zachary S Williams. I Am Not Okay With This will premiere on Netflix on February 26.
