Warning: This article contains spoilers from Game of Thrones season eight, episode four!

Last night's episode of Game of Thrones was as epic as expected. While it was inevitably going to be slower paced than the Battle of Winterfell, it was still full of shocking moments like Missandei's beheading at the hand of Cersei Lannister and Jaime and Brienne finally getting down and dirty (sorry Tormund - I was rooting for you too).

However, not all fans are happy with the fourth episode of the final season.

These are Missandei's defiant final words:

As far as they're concerned, the show is trying to tie up too many plot points at once and cramming events which would have previously taken episodes to unfold into a pretty short space of time. I mean, they do have a point...

In addition to the above, last night's episode also featured not one but two proposals, promises made then broken, a battle at sea, and a bloody dragon death.

In short, it was a bit much, and this has been completely reflected by fan reactions to episode four on Twitter.

First thing's first, there was Sansa's hilarious inability not to keep Jon's true identity a secret:

Let's just have a moment of silence for Rheagal's demise:

On the off chance that you want to cry again, this is Rheagal's death scene:

And the fact that GOT producers basically won't keep Tyrion on any boat for long:

It was all a bit much, albeit less dramatic than last week's episode, and the end really took fans by surprise:

The most stylish creep in Westeros:

I'm never getting over this tbh:

Now, all we can do is hope that we don't lose too many beloved characters in the Last War. But GoT being GoT, it's pretty much inevitable, so you might as well place your bets.
