Until now, gay sex scenes have been a taboo for major studio films. It was for this reason that last year's Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody came under fire for only showing sex scenes of Freddie Mercury with his female lover and not his male. This, however, is not going to be the case in the soon-to-be-released Elton John biopic Rocketman. In which, for the first time in a major studio film, there will be gay sex scenes between Elton (Taron Egerton) and his former manager John Reid (Richard Madden). It's still unfinished so it's nothing but rumors. It has and always will be the no holds barred, musical fantasy that Paramount and producers passionately support and believe in. " width="760" height="518" />[[imagecaption|| Credit: Paramount Pictures]] However, while Rocketman will be breaking new ground by including these scenes, it has come <a href="https://www.nme.com/news/film/rocketman-star-taron-egerton-responds-to-criticism-that-hes-straight-and-playing-elton-john-2470486">under fire</a> from people who believe that a heterosexual man, Taron Egerton, should play a gay one. Egerton said of this criticism: "I've approached it wholeheartedly and I hope that for that reason people accept me [as Elton]. The LGBTQ community has always been about inclusiveness, hasn't it? Not about, We're here. You're there.' In fact, if you want to come in, come on in."
