2020 has ended up being a bumper year for the sitcom Schitt's Creek, after it picked up Emmys in all seven comedy categories at last night's award show, and won a total of nine awards altogether.
Per Gold Derby, this means that the show is officially the first comedy to ever win all four main acting awards, and is now also the most-awarded comedy ever in one year.

However, the best news for the show wasn't the shiny trophies it managed to win, but the fact that cast member and creator Dan Levy hinted that a feature-length Schitt's Creek movie could be in the pipeline.
Per Tyla, Levy was quizzed about the possibility of a movie at a virtual press Q&A event after the Emmys concluded.

Speaking to reporters about a potential cinematic follow-up, Levy stated:
"If there is an idea that pops into my head and worthy of these wonderful people, it has to be really freaking good at this point ... This is a really nice way of saying goodbye."
"Fingers crossed that we get a really good idea coming into our heads soon. I would love to work with [the cast] again. This has been the most incredible experience."

Created by father/son duo Eugene and Dan Levy, Schitt's Creek tells the story of the über-wealthy Rose family, who lose their sprawling mansion and vast fortune after falling victim to corproate embezzlement.
However, patriarch Johnny Rose discovers that the only thing they still own is the tiny rural town of Schitt's Creek. As a result of their reduced circumstances, the family is forced to live in a tiny motel in hilariously reduced circumstances and cope with the eccentric local population.
The acclaimed TV series ran for a total of six seasons, with the finale airing on April 7, 2020.
