Stars of 'The Office' Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey are launching their own podcast about the show

It's hard to believe that it's been almost 15 years since the US version of The Office hit our screens. When it was first announced that they were planning an American remake of the classic British sitcom, created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, many people were worried that it would be overshadowed by the original.

Yet thanks to an exceptional cast, and a more offbeat tone which contrasted with the cringe-comedy realism of the Britcom, the remake was a hit with critics and viewers and went on to have nine seasons. It's still beloved and rewatched by its fans four years after its finale.

So if you still love the show then we have good news for you: actresses Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, who played Pam and Angela respectively just so happen to be close friends in real life, and have announced that they're about to launch their own podcast where they'll discuss their time on the sitcom and re-examine those old episodes.

Taking to Instagram, Fischer posted an image of herself and Kinsey with some popcorn, and captioned the post: "My bff @angelakinsey and I are excited to be teaming up with @earwolf to bring you our new podcast Office Ladies! Each week we will watch an episode of The Office and tell you all the behind-the-scenes scoop and trivia...the kind of stuff that only two people who were there can know. [sic]"

She added: "There might be some tangents about our lives, our friendship, our cats and our Target runs. We will also answer your questions!! It starts Wednesday, October 16th so get ready to watch The Office with us!! We can’t wait! #theoffice #officeladies #bffs ('Office Ladies' will be available on Stitcher, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and anywhere you can download podcasts.) [sic]"

In a later statement about the upcoming podcast, Fischer told Entertainment Weekly: "So many memories are flooding in as we go back and watch the episodes – many of which I haven’t seen since they aired. As we close in on the 15th anniversary of the show, it seemed like a great time to share our stories and behind-the-scenes trivia with fans."

I can't wait to give this podcast a listen. Am I going to rewatch it all from the beginning? You bet!
