Steven Glover (aka Steve-O) has taken to social media this week with an inspiring post celebrating 13 years of sobriety.

In a post made on his official Facebook page, the 46-year-old former Jackass stuntman and performer shared a before and after side-by-side picture and gave a shout out to his friend and co-star Johnny Knoxville.

The first image shows Glover surrounded by narcotics, pills, cigarettes, and alcohol, and is dated 2006, while the second is dated 2021, and shows him surrounded by healthy fruit and vegetables instead.

Glover captioned his post:

"So grateful to be celebrating thirteen years of sobriety today.

"Thanks to everyone who helped me make it this far and, as always, thanks to @johnnyknoxville for giving me the loving nudge that started my journey! [sic]"

On Facebook, Glover's post quickly accrued a lot of positive attention from his followers, and it now boasts over 481,000 reactions, 14,000 comments, and 44,000 shares as of the time of writing.

In a 2012 interview with US Weekly, Glover spoke about how being a pet owner had kept him sober stating: "I just think back to before I had my dogs and my life must have been just so empty. I shouldn't say empty, but I can't believe how much those little sons of b****es have enriched my life.

"It's so good for a guy like me to have a priority that's not myself and have a regimen and discipline and responsibility that's all very healthy."
