With only two months until Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald finally hits our screens, tension is high, with the non-wizarding world eager to see young Albus Dumbledore guiding Newt Scamander through his quest to defeat the evil wizard, Gellert Grindelwald.

Although we ultimately know where the powerful and dangerous dark wizard ends up (thanks to the Harry Potter series, of course), how he gets there is important, and November 16 cannot get here fast enough.

To tide us all over until then though, Warner Bros. Pictures has released the final trailer for the upcoming fantasy film - and, needless to say, it looks intense as hell.

The latest clip for the second instalment in the Harry Potter spin-off opens with Dumbledore (Jude Law) handing Newt (Eddie Redmayne) a key to a safe house, offering a characteristically ominous warning: "Should things at some point go terribly wrong, it’s good to have a place to go – you know, for a cup of tea."

The rest of the footage is packed full with plenty of magical creatures, concerned looks from Newt and wicked promises from Johnny Depp's Grindelwald ("My brothers, my sisters. The clock is ticking fast. My dream, we who live for truth, for love, the moment has come to take our rightful place in the world where we wizards were free. Join me, or die.").

In addition, the new film trailer reveals a backstory for Nagini, Voldemort's faithful pet and ultimately his final Horcrux; Claudia Kim will play a human version of the character cursed to transform into a snake.

As soon as news of the new clip got around, Twitter lit up with excitement, with much of it circulating around Nagini. "How long have you been holding that Nagini secret??" Twitter user @mortaldistricts asked J.K. Rowling. The author herself responded on Twitter, saying: "Only for around twenty years".

Furthermore, people started coming up with theories about the female individual, whose blood had been cursed from birth. "Maledictus is the name of the blood curse she carries. I believe at some point it will become irreversible and she will stay a snake," wrote Twitter @aris_sts.

Claudia Kim, who plays the human version of Nagini, recently opened up for the first time about her character, who is a member of the travelling Circus Arcanus. Speaking to EW, the actress claimed audiences will see another side of Nagini.

"It will be so interesting to see another side of Nagini," she said. "You’ve only seen her as a Horcrux. In this, she’s a wonderful and vulnerable woman who wants to live. She wants to stay a human being and I think that’s a wonderful contrast to the character."

She added: "She does feel sometimes it’s not controllable. She is bound to [permanently] transform at some point to a beast so she feels this pressure that the clock is ticking."

The clock is also ticking on the release date, and you know what? We can't wait.
