The Princess Diaries is officially 20 years old — and woah, I feel old.
I mean, who can believe it's been two decades since Mia Thermopolis found out that she was Renaldi family royalty?!
To celebrate 20 years of this perfect film, we take a look back at the cast, and what they've been up to since...

Mia Thermopolis — Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway was just 18-years-old when she starred in the first Princess Diaries film, and she's since gone onto have an illustrious career.
Aside from taking on an iconic role in The Devil Wears Prada, she's also starred in The Dark Knight Rises, Love & Other Drugs, Ocean's 8, Bride Wars, and Les Misérables — for which she took home an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2013.

Queen Clarisse Renaldi — Julie Andrews
Hollywood legend, Julie Andrews, is best known for her roles in The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins.
She now does voice acting for many movies, including Shrek 2, and the Despicable Me franchise.
Most recently, she lent her vocal cords to Netflix's hit period drama, Bridgerton.

Joseph — Héctor Elizondo
After starring as Clarisse Renaldi's right-hand man (and lover), Héctor Elizondo played Callie Torres' father, Carlos, on Grey's Anatomy.
Previously, he had had roles in Pretty Woman, The Runaway Bride, Beverly Hills Cop III, and Valentine's Day.
He's currently starring in the Fox series, Last Man Standing.

Lilly Moscovitz — Heather Matarazzo
After playing Mia Thermopolis' best friend, Heather Matarazzo starred in a slew of indie films and television shows, including Welcome to the Dollhouse, Hostel: Part II, and the Estate.
She's also had roles in The Devil's Advocate, Scream 3, Sorority Boys, and The L Word.

Lana Thomas — Mandy Moore
Teen star, Mandy Moore, had a number of recognisable roles after playing Mia Thermopolis' nemesis. You'll remember her from A Walk to Remember, and Grey's Anatomy.
But she's had a successful career out of the Noughties too, having starred in the hit television show, This is Us, since its inception back in 2016.

Michael Moscovitz — Robert Schwartzman
After playing Mia Thermopolis' love interest, Robert Schwartzman turned his attention to his music and directing career — he's the lead singer of the band Rooney, and they also went on to appear in The O.C.
His latest film project was 2018's The Unicorn, which he also directed.

Josh Bryant — Erik Von Detten
Teenage heartthrob, Erik Von Detten, went onto star in the films, Brink, and Leave it to Beaver.
He voiced the neighbourhood bully, Sid, in the original 1995 Toy Story, and reprised his role in Toy Story 3, which landed on our screens back in 2010.

Helen Thermopolis — Caroline Goodall
Caroline Goodall, who played Mia Thermopolis' mother in the Princess Diaries, had had some recognisable roles, including parts in Schindler's List, Hook, Disclosure, and White Squall.
She's since gone on to star in The Dressmaker, alongside Kate Winslet, and the television series, The White Princess.

Vice Principal Geraldine Gupta — Sandra Oh
Since playing Vice Principal Geraldine Gupta, Sandra Oh has had an incredibly successful career.
She played Christina Yang in Grey's Anatomy for nine years, and most recently landed the leading role of Eve Polastri in the hit television series, Killing Eve.

More recently, he's played Ed Slater on the television show, NCIS, since 2011.
