Matthew Hutchins - the husband of late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins - says he was "so angry" watching Alec Baldwin public discuss the death of his wife.
Back in November, Halyna and Baldwin were working together on the western movie Rust when a prop gun was discharged - resulting in the cinematographer's death.
Baldwin - the film's star - was holding the weapon in preparation for a scene, but maintained that he did not know it was loaded and that he did not pull the trigger.
Now, Matthew Hutchins has hit out at the actor. In a preview for his appearance on Thursday's Today show - the grieving husband's first official interview since his wife's death - Hutchins tells host Hoda Kotb: "The idea that the person holding the gun and causing it to discharge is not responsible is absurd to me."
"Watching him, I just felt so angry," he said when asked about the ABC interview in which Baldwin claimed he felt no guilt over the 42-year-old cinematographer's death.
"I was just so angry to see him talk about her death so publicly in such a detailed way and then to not accept any responsibility after having just described killing her," Hutchins added.
The widower went on to accuse Rust producers of violating safety standards, saying: "There were a number of industry standards that were not practiced, and there's multiple responsible parties."
Baldwin made it clear that he felt no responsibility for what had happened in his December interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos. When asked if he felt any guilt over Hutchins' death, Baldwin responded: "Someone is responsible for what happened, and I can't say who that is, but it's not me."
"I mean, honest to God, if I felt that I was responsible, I might have killed myself if I thought I was responsible. And I don’t say that lightly," the 63-year-old Beetlejuice star added.
Meanwhile, earlier this week the Hutchins' family attorney Brian Panish also criticized Baldwin during an appearance on NewsNation's Dan Abrams Live on Tuesday
"Alec Baldwin is continuing to do what he's done throughout this — he's blaming others. He's not accepting any responsibility. He lays off fault on others when, in fact, but for him shooting the gun, Halyna is still here today," Panish said.
