After recently announcing that he won't be reprising his role as Superman in the DC franchise, it has been reported that Henry Cavill will now be taking on a whole new role in an upcoming movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 39-year-old is set to venture into the world of science fantasy, starring and acting as an executive producer on the series adaptation of Warhammer 40,000.
For those of you that might not know, Warhammer 40,000 is a miniature wargame created by Games Workshop, which Amazon is now looking to buy the rights to.
The game’s setting is 40,000 years into the future where humanity has taken a dark turn. Civilization has been destroyed and there is an ongoing war between aliens and other magical beings. After garnering a passionate fanbase, it has become one of the most popular games around.

So what are the details surrounding this new film?
As per the outlet, no specific writers or showrunners have been attached to the project as yet, although Vertigo Entertainment is said to also be an executive producer.
So far, no other details have been released, but according to reports, it seems as though Amazon is close to sealing the deal.

The news comes shortly after the 39-year-old actor announced that he is hanging up his red cape for good after appearing as Superman ever since the release of the Man of Steel movie in 2013, before continuing to portray the character in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and 2017's Justice League.
Taking to Instagram, the star broke the unfortunate news to fans, who were expecting him to reprise his role after an October announcement confirming so.
However, in a U-turn decision, Cavill said that his "turn to wear the cape has passed."
"I have just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it's sad news, everyone. I will, after all, not be returning as Superman.
"After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn't the easiest, but that's life," he told his 23 million followers on Instagram.
Cavill continued: "The changing of the guard is something that happens. I respect that. James and Peter have a universe to build. I wish them and all involved with the new universe the best of luck, and the happiest of fortunes.
Concluding the statement, he emphasized that despite his time in the role being over, the power of the character will continue to live on.
The Enola Holmes actor has also recently given up his role in The Witcher.
Well, we can't wait to see where Cavill's next venture takes him!
