Jamie Lee Curtis has been praised by fans after she took to Instagram to upload a nude photograph of herself, alongside an image of her sporting a black one-piece swimsuit.

The 64-year-old - whose latest flick Halloween Ends showed in cinemas recently - garnered over 70,000 likes for her carefree body-positive images, which included her posing nude behind a rock, and donning black fishnets underneath a swimsuit as she laid back in a swimming pool. It's safe to say she was oozing realness.

In her caption, the Knives Out actress wrote that the images were taken for a piece in the New York Times, saying: "Most people don't know this but I'm a photographer. My whole life. I've collected photographs and supported artists. I've been following the work of Ryan Pfluger for a long, long time. I've seen the beautiful portraiture and incredible saturation of color and light and honesty in his work."

"I was so excited to collaborate with him on portraits for the New York Times which dropped today. This color work is beautiful and I am honored to have been in front of his lens and eye and heart!" Curtis added.

This type of self-confidence is essentially Curtis' trademark, as she has spoken in-depth for years about her desire to age naturally and without cosmetic enhancements.

In fact, earlier this year the mom-of-two spoke about aging at the Radically Reframing Aging Summit - a summit aimed at exploring aging as a gift of life - saying that she was "pro-aging."

"This word 'anti-aging' has to be struck. I am pro-aging. I want to age with intelligence, and grace, and dignity, and verve, and energy," she said.

"I don't want to hide from it [...] I did plastic surgery. I put Botox in my head. Does Botox make the big wrinkle go away? Yes. But then you look like a plastic figurine [...] Walk a mile in my shoes. I have done it. It did not work. And all I see is people now focusing their life on that," Curtis added.

Many of her 4.6 million followers couldn't contain their praise for the iconic actress - who is the daughter of late Hollywood legends Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis.

"I love you," one person commented. "Thank you for always keeping it raw and real and authentic to the bone. You have always inspired me. You still do. Rocking everything you take on and accomplish. You are still and forever more THE BODY!!! [...] KEEP BEAMING YOU!!!!!

"You are the BOMB, Ms. Curtis. Getting it done. Thank you for being an inspiration that it's not about getting older, but being alive, confident, and full of life," someone else added.
