Tiger King star and big cat sanctuary owner Jeff Lowe has responded to the conspiracy theory that he was Carole Baskin's first husband.

This comes after allegations that he set up Joe Exotic so that he could take over his zoo and remove him from the big cat business - something that Carole Baskin also wanted.

Following the release of the hit docuseries, people claimed that Jeff Lowe is, in fact, Carole Baskin's first husband who she left over alleged domestic abuse.

Now, in a Reddit AMA, Lowe himself has responded to the conspiracy theory.

Lowe wrote on the Reddit Q&A: "Hi Reddit! My name is Jeff Lowe, I'm the CEO and Founder of Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park and was recently featured on Netflix's TIGER KING.

"I'm entering the tiger cage on Reddit to answer your questions... So ASK ME ANYTHING!"

Needless to say, it wasn't long before the subject of Carole Baskin and her ex-husband popped up, and one Redditor asked: "There's a conspiracy all over the internet this week that you were Carole Baskin's first husband. Have you seen the picture comparison and what's your take on this? She doesn't seem like your type!"

Lowe replied: "You're a brilliant man and she is not my type."

"If I was stuck on a deserted island with her, I would f*** a coconut. I've seen the side by side pictures. It looks more like John and Joe's love child."

We're going to take that as a resounding no...

During the AMA session, Lowe also updated fans about his nanny situation, having told his wife Lauren on the show: "I said you can get a nanny as long as I get to pick her. If you're gonna bring in one, why bring in one that's not enjoyable to look at?"

Lowe answered the fan's question by writing: "We actually have two nannies now. They alternate days. We've had at least 2-3k stalkers that found my cell phone number. I've been inundated with nanny requests."
