A seat filler at the 2023 Grammy Awards has revealed the reason behind Ben Affleck's grief-stricken expression at the event.

Last year, the beloved Hollywood couple rekindled their romance after almost a decade since their last engagement in 2004 by tying the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in Las Vegas.

While the A-list couple has been relishing their honeymoon phase in the past couple of months, they took the internet by storm on Sunday night (February 5) after a seemingly tense exchange during the 65th installment of the musical ceremony went viral.

In a segment on the show, host Trevor Noah was pretending to be on the phone with his mom and viewers noticed Affleck, 50, and Lopez, 53, allegedly caught up in an argument before recovering into their natural composure after realizing they were on camera.

Watch the segment in question:

Many fans speculated that the newlyweds were having a tiff - with some users even saying that the 'Jenny From The Block' songstress was telling the Gone Girl actor to fix his facial expression after looking deeply anguished for most of the event.

A professional lip reader weighed in on the drama to offer viewers some exclusive insight and told the Daily Mail that Lopez apparently tells him to "Stop" and asked her beau to "Look more friendly. Look motivated," to which Affleck allegedly replies with a simple "I might".

However, a seat filler took to TikTok to explain what really happened between the pair and it wasn't as negative as people portrayed it to be.

Watch the seat filler's TikTok below:

The woman - who goes by the handle @almostannna on the social media platform - shared that she was sat next to 'Bennifer' "for a good bit" of the show.

"So I didn’t know the meme of Ben Affleck being upset at award shows like I didn’t know that was a thing," the woman continued, explaining that she didn't directly speak to them because the Good Will Hunting star "didn’t look happy".

"The whole time, they were cute and s***," she added before revealing that the 'I'm Real' singer told her husband about his burgeoning meme status at the Grammys.

"J.Lo showed Ben Affleck the phone and was like, 'Oh my god, honey, look at this meme circulating about you,' and he was like, 'Oh god, this again.' Like, he knew during the performance that he was a meme," she said.

"Like he knew, and he also chose just not to change his expression. I love how unbothered that is. So, I know that she was like on her phone and saw it and was like, 'Honey this is so funny, look at this,' and he was like 'Jesus Christ.'" she hilariously disclosed.

The TikTok said the pair were "super lovey dove-y" throughout the show and "their hands were always intertwined" despite what the naysayers were saying about their marriage.

She then divulged that JLo and Superman star left early, and during that moment he "took the skirt of her dress and lifted it up too much," so the Hustlers actress was like "'Honey!'"

After the award ceremony, the 'On The Floor' hitmaker took to her Instagram to share a heartwarming post to put the rumors to rest by giving her husband a little shoutout.

In her loving video that was captioned "Always the best time with my love, my husband #Grammys...," Lopez posted a montage of moments from the event including photos of her and her partner posing for professional snapshots.

Despite a lot of people assuming her sweet post was damage control, the seat filler's video clarified the comments about their viral bickering and hopefully put an end to the gossip.
