Johnny Depp has charmed fans with his courtroom antics.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star is currently embroiled in a blockbuster defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, who he is suing for $50 million over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she claimed to be the victim of domestic abuse.
Over the past two weeks, scandalous details about Depp and Heard's volatile relationship have been dragged into the spotlight as their legal teams battle it out in Fairfax County Court, Virginia.
But it seems like the legal proceedings haven't always been enough to hold Depp's attention. The 58-year-old actor has been spotted doodling during the trial, as well as keeping a supply of jelly beans, gummy bears, and mints on hand.
In a clip that has since gone viral on TikTok, Depp was caught showing his attorney Benjamin Chew a drawing of a person's face during a lull in proceedings.
People reports that on Wednesday, he was once again seen distracting himself from the brutal trial, this time by doodling stick men with purple and pink felt tip pens while he waited for jurors to arrive.
Meanwhile, chewing candy and drawing aren't the only quirky courtroom habits that fans have noticed Depp adopting during the trial.
Per MailOnline, the actor has also been spotted flashing the same lucky $2 bill, which he keeps in a plastic bag and brings with him to court every day.
Then there's the large silver tumbler (believed to be full of black coffee) which Depp took into the courtroom and kept with him throughout his dramatic four-day testimony last week.
It's safe to say that the actor's sweet habits have charmed his fans. Every day, more and more of them flock to the Virginia courthouse to cheer him on with 'Justice for Johnny' signs. One devoted fan even brought two alpacas along to the trial, on the off chance that Depp would see them and be cheered up by their furry faces.
"I thought the alpacas might brighten his day," the woman - identified as Andrea Diaz - told The Washington Post.
