Unsealed court documents have revealed that Johnny Depp tried to submit nude photos of Amber Heard as evidence in their defamation trial.

Earlier this summer, the celebrity exes made headlines around the world with their blockbuster court case, in which Depp alleged that his ex-wife defamed him when she claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed.

The trial came to a close in June, when jurors sided with Depp, ruled that Heard had defamed him, and ordered her to pay almost $10 million in damages.

However, it seems there are still more bombshell revelations to come out of the controversial case. Per The Daily Beast, over 6,000 previously unseen pages from the explosive court case were made public this weekend.

Among the details exposed in the pre-trial documents is the fact that Heard's legal team asked Judge Penney Azcarate to exclude several "irrelevant personal matters" from the trial.

The Aquaman star's attorney's alleged that: "Mr. Depp inappropriately seeks to introduce evidence of the following Irrelevant Personal Matters: (1) nude pictures of Amber Heard; (2) Amber Heard’s sister Whitney’s reality show video; (3) Whitney and Amber’s past romantic relationships; (4) Amber’s brief stint as an exotic dancer years before she met Mr. Depp and Mr. Depp attempting to frivolously and maliciously suggest or imply that Ms. Heard was at one time an escort."

Elsewhere, the unsealed court documents detail how Heard walked away from "tens of millions of dollars" during her divorce from Depp in 2016.

In the wake of the trial, Heard's legal team has declared that she is unable to pay the multi-million dollar damages she owes Depp.

However, this might not have been the case had she not ignored her lawyers' advice that she was entitled to half of her then-husband's income from the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, which he shot during their marriage.

Depp reportedly earned $33 million for starring in the Disney film. However, documents show that Heard refused to claim half of her then husband's salary from the role - which was deemed a "community property asset" - and was told by her lawyers she was being "amazingly true to your word that this is not about the money".
