Kate Hudson makes her abs 'reconnect' in hilarious Instagram video

Actress Kate Hudson has shared a hilarious clip of her trying to make her abs "reconnect" on Instagram - a sentiment many of us can relate to.

The mom-of-three posted the clip to her Instagram stories. In it, she can be seen wearing her workout gear, then jokingly trying to squeeze her abs back together, but given that she gave birth to her third child, Rani, last year, I think we can all agree that her post-baby body looks amazing.

In the clip, Hudson jokingly moans, "Did my workout. My abs. Arghhhh. Arghhh. Can't get 'em. Arghhh. It's not working!"

If the video above is anything to go by, Hudson, 40, could have a condition known as diastasis recti. In an interview with Women's Health, Melissa Walsh, M.D., ob-gyn, said: "The condition happens when your abdominal rectus muscles separate and the tissue between the muscles thins."

Thankfully, Hudson didn't seem bothered by the condition, if that's what she's dealing with.

However, if diastasis recti is affecting you, or you believe that you're at risk of it happening after pregnancy, there are steps you can take to prevent it - although it's worth noting that it's not preventable in everyone.

But typically, your best bet is making sure that your core is as strong as possible post-pregnancy.
