Keanu Reeves could soon be joining the Fast & Furious franchise, starring in the ninth movie in the series.
The revelation was made by writer Chris Morgan in an interview with Screen Rant ahead of the Hobbs & Shaw home release. He explained that there had been talks between him and the star of John Wick about a potential role in Fast & Furious 9.

"We're just trying to find... the hardest thing is always time and competing schedules and then designing the right thing together. My fervent desire is to bring him into this franchise for sure."
Should Reeves' involvement in the franchise be confirmed, he will be joining Cardi B as a cast member, whose participation was announced earlier this year.

However, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Jason Statham will not be joining the cast of the latest movie now that John Cena's role has been confirmed.
In an interview with MTV News, former wrestler Johnson said: "The plan has always been for the Fast and Furious universe to grow and expand."
"As of now, we're not in Fast 9 because they're getting ready to start shooting. But who knows with Fast 10 and down the road, you never know."
