It has been reported that Keanu Reeves only says 380 words in John Wick 4, which lasts almost three hours, may I add.

The movie, which is the fourth installment in the action franchise, sees Reeves reprise his role as a badass assassin as he battles to free himself from the clutches of a powerful crime organization.

Directed by Chad Stahelski, Insider described the latest movie as "the most ambitious chapter of the franchise, with some of the biggest stunts and fight sequences of Reeves' career."

However, as the stunts get more complicated, it seems as though the actor's dialogue has reduced incredibly.

After analyzing John Wick 4, The Wall Street Journal reported that "about 10 percent of [Wick’s lines] are featured in the movie’s trailer, which makes the hero seem almost chatty," though the rest of the 169-minute movie sees him reduce his language to minimal responses such as "yeah."

Of the 103 lines he has, 27% of them are a single word, as per Morning Brew.

Classic.

They also added that Wick says more in that trailer than he does in the first 25 minutes of the entire film, with the longest line being: "You and I left a good life behind a long time ago, my friend," when talking to hotel manager Shimazu Koji.

Stahelski admitted that Reeves "stripped out roughly half the dialogue written for his character in the initial script."

Upon hearing of the statistics, fans took to social media to commend Reeves for getting through the entire project as he has done.

One user tweeted: "I guess he threw in the months of fight training and stunt work for free!"

"I think he was also being paid for the nonverbal parts," added another.

A third added: "And I'm out here saying all these words for free??? SMH."

And this user pointed out that even a pause by Reeves can pack a punch.

As per its official IMDb description, the movie sees "John Wick uncover a path to defeating The High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes."

John Wick 4 is now screening in major movie theatres.
