Kim Cattrall appears to have accidentally revealed the identity of the woman who gave birth to Robert De Niro's seventh child.
The 66-year-old actress - who is best known for her role in the Sex & The City franchise - made the gaffe during the premiere of her new movie, which also stars De Niro, 79. He had only recently revealed he was a new dad again.
In a discussion with ET Canada about fatherhood earlier this week, the veteran actor said that he believed "in being loving with [his] kids", though one also has "to be stern about stuff."
He added: "I mean, there's no way around it with kids. I don't like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you just have no choice.
"And any parent, I think, would say the same thing. You always want to do the right thing by the children and give them the benefit of the doubt but sometimes you can't," he said.
At that moment, the ET Canada journalist then mentioned that De Niro had six kids, before the actor corrected him, saying: "Seven actually. I just had a baby." Following the interview, a representative for the Goodfellas actor did confirmed De Niro is now a father of seven, without mentioning the mother's identity.
Shortly after the news broke and went viral, Cattrall congratulated De Niro and his "significant other" - who is rumored to be his longtime girlfriend Tiffany Chen - at the New York premiere of their film About My Father. Cattrall told Extra: "God bless him, his significant other. Tiffany is such a beautiful woman. She came to the set once with her family and watched filming, and she was gorgeous and sweet. I'm happy for both of them."
When reporters at the event asked De Niro about his new arrival, the actor responded that he was "good with it" but that being a father "never gets easier."
De Niro's latest child joins his other kids - daughter Drena, 51, and son Raphael, 46, from De Nero's first wife, American actor Diahnne Abbott. They were married from 1976 to 1988. He also shares twin sons, Julian and Aaron, 27, with ex-girlfriend, model Toukie Smith, as well as son Elliot, 25, and daughter Helen Grace, 11, with his ex-wife Grace Hightower.
De Niro apparently met Chen, a martial arts instructor based in New York, while filming his 2015 movie The Intern, with the pair becoming an item shortly after his 2018 divorce from Hightower.
