Kourtney Kardashian has faced the fury of stunned users on social media after she shared a photograph of food on her bathroom floor and toilet seat.
On March 28, the 43-year-old reality TV star took to her Instagram to display a gallery of pictures that featured her rinsing her mouth out with water, washing her body in a bathtub, and posing in a black velour tracksuit.
However, what captured her followers' attention the most was the snapshot of a feast spread all over her bathroom. The photo included ice buckets of champagne, plates of strawberry cakes, half-eaten macarons, and a large salad bowl scattered all over the blue-tiled floor.
In addition to this, a clearly consumed burger was placed on her toilet seat next to a glass of water, while a bag of chips laid beneath a dirty towel.
Check out the photo below:As the image was taken from a bird's eye viewpoint, viewers also got a clear look at the mysterious red-colored soap water in the large bathtub and an empty champagne glass in the corner.
After posting the picture - which has amassed over 1 million likes on the social media platform - many of the Poosh founder’s 216 million followers shared their revulsion to her lavatory spread.
One shocked user wrote: "That bathroom scene is what nightmares are made of."
Another person questioned: "Am I the only person who thinks food on the bathroom floor is disgusting," with a vomiting and green sick-face emoji.
A third user shared their disappointment and commented: "Why do you order so much food and take a bite maybe from 3 when people around the globe and even in your country don’t have enough food to eat!
"It’s cute and lovely for you that you get to have clean water and a bath and be glutinous about the meal but it’s not cool to post this during one of the hardest economic times the globe is facing. It’s called reading the room!"
A fourth person interjected: "What kind of statement is she trying to make with all the food in the bathroom? that's disgusting...."
Over on her Instagram Story, Kardashian revealed to fans a photo of herself and her husband Travis Barker enjoying the food and champagne. It was captured by shutterbug Ellen von Unwerth which could indicate that the feast was just a prop for a photoshoot.
Kardashian's scandalous post comes after she hit back at a fan following comments about her body on social media. Earlier this month, she posted a picture on her Instagram promoting her vitamin brand, Lemme.
The behind-the-scenes photos featured her sporting a pair of yellow latex pants, which she paired with a matching cropped sweater while holding vitamins in her hand.
However, in an exchange captured by the account Comments By Celebs - one fan questioned: "Is she pregnant," to which the mother of three quickly fired back.
Kardashian mentioned her recent IVF journey as the reason for a perceived difference in her appearance and added: "The after [effects] of IVF (I only acknowledge this comment bc I do think it's important to know how IVF affects women's bodies and it's not spoken about much )... also are we still asking women if they're pregnant?"
Her comment quickly garnered thousands of likes and support from followers who also found the question insensitive. However, a few hours later, the entire post was deleted from her Instagram account and has not resurfaced.
