Liam Payne has recently celebrated a huge milestone and fans couldn't be prouder of the star.
In a new interview on Saturday, the 29-year-old opened up about being 100 days sober.
"Things are really, really good. I’m sober now over 100 days. I feel amazing," he told boxing channel IFL TV after the Joe Fournier versus KSI fight.
"I feel really, really good, and support from the fans and everything has been really, really good. So, I’m super happy."
"I’ve been making an album for a change, which is quite fun and it’s been good so I’m excited to bring it out and I definitely want to tour this time," he said of the currently untitled project. "It’s just unusual because I wasn’t sure I was going to tour for a long time."
This will mark the singer's follow-up album to his 2019 debut solo album titled LP1 which included hits such as 'Strip That Down', 'Get Low', and 'Polaroid.'
The former One Direction member has been pretty open about his struggles with substance abuse.
Speaking to Steven Bartlett on an episode of his Diary Of A CEO back in 2021, Payne revealed that it had all started during his boy band days.

"I was worried how far my rock bottom was going to be. Where’s rock bottom for me?", he told Bartlett. "And you would never have seen it. I’m very good at hiding it. No one would ever have seen it."
He explained that there were definitely things he’s "never, never spoken about" describing them as "really, really, really severe. It was a problem."
"And it was only until I saw myself after that I was like, 'Right, I need to fix myself,'" he added, saying that seeing pictures of himself with what he described as his "pills-and-booze face," while on a boat made him realize just how far he had fallen.
"My face was just, like, 10 times more than it is now. I just didn’t like myself very much, and then I made a change," he said.
And now the 29-year-old seems as though he's got himself back on track, re-directing his focus back to his music.
While Payne hasn’t released an album since his 2019 solo debut, he has released some singles in the past few years. In 2020, he partnered with Alesso for an EP titled Midnight Hour and after that, in 2021, Payne released a new single called 'Sunshine', which was part of the soundtrack for the animated film, Ron’s Gone Wrong.
We're glad to hear that the star is feeling better!
