Following the drama surrounding Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox's alleged break-up, a rumor spawned by fans that has been circulating on social media has finally been put to rest.
Fans were left stunned over the weekend after Fox, 36, appeared to delete all of her photos with her fiancé, 32-year-old musician Machine Gun Kelly, before following his arch-rival Eminem and sharing a photo with a caption about "dishonesty", which led them to believe that the pair had split.
Since then, the couple has also been seen leaving marriage counseling sessions, but their usual over-the-top PDAs were nowhere to be seen, and instead, they walked out and left the premises separately.
Later in the week, the actress also deleted her Instagram account after posting a cryptic message alongside mirror selfies and a short clip of an envelope being burnt. Beyoncé's 'Pray If You Catch Me', lyrics - "You can taste the dishonesty / It's all over your breath" - were also included which just added more fuel to the fire.
A source told PEOPLE that they had a massive bust-up over the Super Bowl weekend, leading to the actress's actions on social media.
"Megan is very upset. They had a fight over the weekend and Megan won't speak to him. They have had issues in the past, but things seem pretty serious this time," they stated.
Then, on Valentine's Day, the outlet quoted another source who said that Fox and MGK (real name Colson Baker) were "speaking and trying to work things out" though Fox was "still upset" and "taking one day at a time."
Given Fox's cryptic caption being from a song Beyoncé reportedly wrote about her own husband Jay Z allegedly cheating on her, fans began throwing out wild (and confirmed to be completely false) speculation.
Social media users assumed the caption was Fox saying MGK had cheated on her, and were trying to work out who this "other woman" could be, with many jumping to the pretty misogynistic conclusion that it could be MGK's new guitarist, Sophie Lloyd.
The blonde musician has been touring alongside the 'Bloody Valentine' singer since May last year and has been documenting her tour journey on her Instagram via a series of candid shots.
As per Page Six, some fans were accusing Lloyd of being involved in the scandal.
"He probably got with Sophie," one person wrote in the comments section of Fox’s post, to which the actress replied, "Maybe I got with Sophie," before deleting her account.
Now, the guitarist - who is in a long-term relationship of her own - has released a statement denying any involvement in the pair's split.
"Sophie Lloyd is a professional, accomplished musician who has been needlessly dragged into the media based off of meritless accusations made by social media," her management team exclusively told the outlet in a statement on Wednesday.
"Any suggestion that she has ever acted in an unprofessional manner or stepped out of her relationship are untrue. It’s disrespectful to her as a female artist and poor journalism and social commentary to be reporting anything else."
Since then, neither party involved has addressed the issue explicitly and it doesn't seem like they will be doing any time soon given the circumstances.
Hopefully they manage to work things out.
