One of the men who helped in the robbery of Kim Kardashian in Paris has said he claims to feel no remorse over the incident.

VICE News recently published a new video on their YouTube channel that focuses on how social media has become a tool to help criminals prey upon wealthy influencers and celebrities.

In the documentary, Yunis Abbas - one of the men behind Kim Kardashian's Paris robbery - was interviewed and asked if he feels any guilt over the incident.

"I don't care," Abbas replied.

Abbas was one of a group of 12 thieves, mostly over the age of 60, who targeted Kardashian while she was in Paris in 2016. The group pulled off a $10 million heist, which included snatching the $4 million engagement ring given to Kim by Kanye West, per the New York Post.

Page Six reported that Kardashian was tied up at gunpoint and locked in the bathroom of the apartment she had rented during Paris Fashion Week. The 12 men stood trial in 2021, with the alleged mastermind eventually writing the reality TV star an apology letter for the emotional distress the robbery caused.

However, it seems Yunis Abbas is not as remorseful as his criminal colleague.

Speaking in the VICE minidoc Abbas - who served 22 months in prison for the now-infamous heist - stated that he believed Kardashian should have been "less showy."

He revealed the gang of thieves had stalked Kardashian on the internet, noting that she was excessively flaunting her wealth on social media.

In particular, Abbas recalled watching an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians in which Kim lost her diamond earring in a sea.

"Since she was throwing money away, I was there to collect it, and that was that. Guilty? No, I don’t care," he nonchalantly stated.

Abbas remained downstairs to keep watch, while the rest of the crew carried out the robbery upstairs.

"Madame Kardashian's secretary called for help. But she called 911 in the United States, which scared us, which made them lose a lot of time. And when we got out, there was a bunch of police outside who didn't know anything about the robbery," he told VICE.

Though, it seems the ruthless robber remains aware of the psychological impact his actions would have had on the SKIMS founder, stating: "You don't come out of it unscathed [...] Of course she must have been traumatized."

During a 2020 appearance on David Letterman's My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, Kardashian revealed chilling scenes of the traumatizing robbery.

Speaking to Letterman, Kardashian recalled that she thought she would be sexually assaulted at one point - before the thieves handcuffed her, tied her up with zip-ties, and taped her eyes and mouth shut, per Metro UK.

She also recalled having a gun held up to her and thinking that her sister, Kourtney, was going to find her body.

The mom of four also recounted in harrowing detail the incident for a special edition of New York Magazine. In it, she blames herself for the robbery, stating that: "I definitely see the things that I brought on myself, the biggest being the robbery. Just being flashy and oversharing my every move on social media."

"I truly think once I got robbed, it took something out of me in the best way. All the things that really mattered to me then deeply – how many bags I had, what car I drove … I still like all that stuff, but it doesn’t matter. It could go away," she added.
