Margot Robbie and her cheeky husband were seemingly caught out while on the red carpet at an award show.
On Monday, the 33-year-old and her husband Tom Ackerley, made an appearance on the red carpet in New York City for the 2023 Gotham Film Awards.
The actress and the film producer were posing next to Barbie director Greta Gerwig, Gerwig’s husband and Barbie co-writer Noah Baumbach, and Laura Dern in the press room following Gerwig's Tribute Award win. However, it wasn't long before photographers spotted Robbie giggling.
The star then tried to bite her tongue to stop herself from breaking into a fit of laughter, but as her husband continued to tease her, she failed miserably.
Of course, hundreds of amused social media users couldn't help but speculate what was going on, but fans were left in hysterics (and a little shocked) after a reporter asked Robbie: "Is he pinching your bum?"Have a look at the hilarious clip below:
A third pointed out that "Her smile says it all. HE IS!"
Others also stated that Robbie's reaction had them in stitches too with this user saying: "Her laughing got me laughing uncontrollably."
Page Six reported from the scene that the Wolf of Wall Street actress began to smile when her husband's hand first started wondering before shifting around and seemingly pushing it away.
But Ackerley was not going to be deterred as he continued to tease his wife in front of the cameras.
The reporters continued to push the Aussie for an answer but she couldn't help but just giggle in response. Later on, they asked Ackerley if he was in fact teasing his wife but he told the outlet he hadn’t - though they weren't convinced after witnessing the exchange themselves.
This isn't the first time the pair shared a wholesome, yet funny moment, in public.
At Variety's Power of Women event earlier this month, Robbie had Ackerly read out a speech she wrote after the pair and their partner Josey McNamara won the award for 'Producer of the Year' via Robbie's company, LuckyChap Entertainment, who was behind this year's Barbie and Saltburn.
"Margot's lost her voice about four days ago," said Ackerley, as McNamara said, "So she's written this speech that Tom and I are going to read, so we apologize in advance: This is not our strong point."
Ackerley added: "We also haven't read the speech yet... We agreed to this yesterday."
In the speech, Robbie had her husband say that Dua Lipa, who presented the award, is his "crush".
"We know that, so I vow here and now, in front of all these people, and Dua Lipa, who I have a secret crush on, true, to not leave all the speeches to Margot from now on," Ackerley continued.
"Now I know what you're all thinking. 'Wow, for a Power of Women event, we sure are hearing a lot from these two Dudes, in capitals, DUDES," he continued. "But it's me, Margot, writing this and I have to say, the only thing I love more than seeing women supporting women is seeing men supporting women," he continued, adding, "And I have watched for the last 10 years as these two dudes have dedicated their careers to supporting women in this industry, and nothing could make me love them more."
McNamara then finished off the speech reading: "So thank you, Variety, not just for this honor but for giving me the chance to force my two best friends to say things I know they'd be too embarrassed to say themselves."
Robbie and Ackerly met back in 2013, before tying the knot in an intimate ceremony back in 2016. The pair have been going strong since then.
