We all need music to get us through hard times, and Disney has just the perfect blend of hopeful optimism and memorable lyrics to lift the spirits. If there's one person who knows that all too well, it's Beyoncé. Indeed, this week Beyoncé has sung a powerful rendition of the song 'When You Wish Upon A Star' from the classic Disney movie Pinocchio, as part of a heartfelt tribute to American healthcare workers fighting the recent coronavirus pandemic.

In the face-to-camera clip, she stated: "Hello to all of the families across the world. I'm very proud and honored to be a part of the Disney family and to help present The Disney Songbook Singalong, in partnership with Feeding America."
She continued: "I'd like to dedicate this song to all of the healthcare workers who've been working tirelessly to keep us healthy and safe. We greatly appreciate you ... Please hold on to your families tight. Please be safe. Don't give up hope. We're gonna get through this. I promise. God bless you."
But Queen Bey wasn't the only celebrity in attendance at the star-studded Disney Songbook Singalong event. Per British Newspaper The Independent, other famous faces included host Ryan Seacrest, with Ariana Grande singing I Won’t Say (I’m In Love from Hercules, while Darren Criss performed his own personal version of I Wanna Be Like You from The Jungle Book. Not only that, but the cast of the original High School Musical had something of a class reunion, joining together to sing the musical's signature tune: We’re All in This Together.
So there you have it! This whole venture just proves that music really can lift the spirits.
