Cardi B and Offset were seen being outrageously affectionate with one another ahead of the Grammys, with many internet users branding their explicit PDA "gross".

The spouses were all over each other on Saturday night at Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Salute. Cardi, 30, and Offset 31, certainly didn't hold back as they swapped saliva in front of the cameras, in an act which many perceived less as kissing and more as gratuitous tongue-licking.

For the party, the 'WAP' hitmaker rocked a brown strapless and sheer patchwork dress paired with a choker necklace, with her hair styled in a mullet. Her beau, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, donned a black military-type jacket adorned with gold-colored buttons and a bright red collar.

Needless to say, plenty of people jumped at the chance to slam the pair for their NSFW kisses, with one critic asking: "Damn, y'all don't be having sex in the house or something? Why do all that on the red carpet?"

Another asserted: "That’s such a weird thing to do in front of everyone."

A third slammed the act of affection as "gross".

However, plenty of the rappers' fans defended the stunt, with one demanding that everyone "stop and analyze your initial gut reaction," adding: "Realize that his ain’t gonna have an impact on your life, so ain’t no need to hate lol. I understand it’s a lil extra but hey, life is good for them I assume #shrugs."

Another penned: "Ppl [sic] making comments about how gross and disgusting this is. Who cares? It's not that serious. I love how they are with each other. They're comfortable, so why should it matter."

At the annual event, Cardi, as stated by The Hollywood Reporter, honored Atlantic Records executives Julie Greenwald and Craig Kallman in a speech. Both were given the 2023 Grammy Salute to Industry Icons Award.

"I have to say that I’m not making this beautiful speech tonight about Craig and Julie because I want them to give me a bigger budget for my new album and my next music video," Cardi joked as the crowd chuckled. "I’m here tonight because I want to thank them for believing in me."

The chart-topper continued: "When I signed to Atlantic six years ago, other labels were lowballing me and not giving me what I thought I deserved, but Atlantic was right there respecting me and my vision for my career.

"When I was in the middle of making my first album, I was very scared. I was pregnant and I was afraid to tell anyone.

"I was afraid that people would want me to decide between my family and my career because I knew that that happened to other artists and other labels. But with Craig and Julie, the exact opposite happened. You told me I could do both, and I will never, ever forget that."
