Talinda Bennington, the widow of deceased Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, has announced that she is remarrying again.
Talinda, a former Playboy model, and Chester were married for 11 years. They tied the knot in 2006, and went on to have three children together: Tyler Lee Bennington (born March 16, 2006) and twins Lilly and Lila (born November 6, 2011).
This brave woman used Linkin Park lyrics to stop a man jumping from a bridge:Bennington was found dead in his home in 2017, a mere two months after the death of Bennington's close friend Chris Cornell, and the cause of death was later determined to be suicide by hanging.
Taking to social media, Talinda wrote: "I am here to tell you that you can find love after tragedy. That a death of a soulmate does not mean the death of you. My family, friends and my Linkin Park brothers welcome him to the family with open arms. I will continue to honour Chester and continue my life's mission to make his passing not in vein [sic]."
She added: "To all suicide loss survivors, you CAN be happy again. You CAN have space in your heart for grief, joy, happiness, sadness and love. Thank you for ALL of your continued love and support. Talinda."
Fans quickly rushed to Twitter to repsond to the news, and despite the overwhelming majority being happy for the former model, there were those who believed Talinda was moving on too quickly:
Bennington's body was discovered by a housekeeper in his home in Palos Verdes Estates, California, at approximately 9 AM on July 20, 2017. Bandmate Mike Shinoda later confirmed his death to fans on Twitter, writing, "Shocked and heartbroken, but it's true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one".
The medical examiner-coroner later confirmed that a half-empty bottle of alcohol was discovered near the body, but no other drugs were present. Bennington, who was a sexual abuse survivor, had often spoken openly about his struggles with drug abuse and mental illness - themes which were often reflected in the lyrics in his music.
A funeral for the musician was later held at South Coast Botanic Garden on July 29, with family members, close friends, and many musicians in attendance. Although it seems as though Talinda has managed to find love again, it's clear to all that Chester Bennington will remain irreplaceable.
