Eminem questioned by Secret Service over violent lyrics about Ivanka Trump
Rapper Eminem has allegedly been questioned by the US Secret Service over violent lyrics regarding Ivanka Trump.
According to documents obtained by Buzzfeed via the freedom of information act, the Slim Shady superstar was interviewed by members of the agency back in December of 2017, regarding lyrics from his album Revival.
Watch Eminem talk about his daughter in this recently-unearthed interview:
Specifically, the agents were concerned about comments made in the track 'Framed', in which Eminem made threats towards President Donald Trump, as well as other members of his family.
One of the lyrics in the track states: "Donald Duck’s on as the Tonka Truck in the yard. But dog, how the f*ck is Ivanka Trump in the trunk of my car?… Cause I feel somewhat responsible for the dumb little blonde girl, that motherf*ckin’ baton twirler that got dumped in the pond. Second murder with no recollection of it."
According to the secret service documents, on the day the album was released: "a concerned citizen reported Marshall Mathers the rapper ‘Eminem’ had a new song called ‘Framed’ with an inappropriate comment towards President Donald Trump and a threatening comment towards Ivanka Trump."
They continue: "This is not the first time Mathers made threatening comments towards POTUS and his family. In June 2017, Mathers freestyled comments that were threatening in nature towards POTUS."
The report adds: "At the conclusion of the interview, Agents again offered to answer any questions. It was also explained that any additional questions about this investigation should be directed to the USSS [United States Secret Service] Office of Government and Public Affairs. Counsel then escorted Agents from Mather's office."
Eminem himself has not yet commented publicly on his meeting with the secret service, but the rapper has made his feelings about the Republican leader explicit since Trump assumed office.
