There's no doubt that female celebrities are under constant scrutiny by the paparazzi, and the wrong photograph taken at the wrong time can end up igniting a powder keg of gossip: particularly when it comes to the subject of whether or not they're pregnant.

Indeed, there are plenty of people out there who love to speculate about what's going on with another woman's body, which can be pretty uncomfortable for the celebrity in question.

Ashley Graham recently shared an awesome video of her working out while pregnant:

This week, the musician Halsey was forced to take to Twitter to make a public announcement after rumors recently circulated that she was expecting.

The trouble first began back when Halsey and her new boyfriend Evan Peters were recently spotted by photographers out in public, enjoying a romantic weekend together.

But what piqued the interest of gossipmongers was the fact that Evan could be clearly seen touching Halsey's belly in some of the snaps, which led many to wonder if she was maybe keeping a baby secret.

However, in a sarcastic tweet addressed to her many millions of followers, Halsey wrote: "Still not pregnant. Still just allergic to gluten. Still love pancakes [sic]" before adding in a follow-up tweet: "Is it a boy? Is it a girl? It’s pancakes. [sic]"

Halsey never kept her attraction to Peters (who plays the super-fast mutant character of Quicksilver in the X-Men movies) particularly clandestine. Indeed, Cosmopolitan reports that she once publicly tweeted things like: "Petition for Evan Peters to date me" and "Seriously, Evan Peters, stop making me attracted to alleged sociopaths and accused murderers..."

In the future, maybe we could all stop speculating on what other people are doing with their personal lives and just wait for an official announcement?
