The nominees for the 64th annual Grammy Awards have been unveiled - and not everybody is happy.

The full list of nominees for each of the 86 categories was announced by the Recording Academy on Tuesday, with some huge names in music being featured.

Legends like ABBA are up for Record of the Year with their track 'I Still Have Faith In You' and icons such as Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, and Lil Nas X will be competing for the prestigious Album of the Year award.

However, two big names you won't see taking home a Grammy at the 2022 awards show are Miley Cyrus and Machine Gun Kelly.

Yes, despite Cyrus' album Plastic Hearts and MGK's album My Downfall being praised by their respective fans, it would appear the Recording Academy wasn't feeling the hype... and both artists had something to say about it.

Rapper MGK kicked things off on Twitter, with the 31-year-old writing: "Wtf is wrong with the Grammys."

He followed this up by quoting some rather self-depricating lyrics from his song 'title track', which read: "I sold some tickets to come see my downfall, / it sold out in minutes / I saw friends in the front row".

And 29-year-old Cyrus followed suit, taking to Twitter to share an article titled: "30 Artists Who Haven't Won Grammys."

She accompanied the post with the words: "In good company."

(Of course, Cyrus is still technically nominated, thanks to her cited work on Lil Nas X's album, Montero.)

The last and only time Cyrus was nominated for a Grammy was back in 2015, when her album Bangerz was up for Best Pop Vocal Album. She lost out to Sam Smith and their album In the Lonely Hour.

Kelly has never been nominated for a Grammy. Maybe one day he'll feature in an article like the one Cyrus shared with her followers.

For now, I can continue to go through like saying that I have won the same amount of Grammys as both Miley Cyrus and Machine Gun Kelly.
