Nicki Minaj decided to take matters into her own hands after a fan hurled an object at her during a recent concert.

The trend of artists being hit or interrupted with items thrown by fans onstage has sadly become prominent in the music industry.

For example, last June, Bebe Rexha sustained injuries when a phone was thrown at her, and in the following month, Harry Styles was hit in the eye by an unidentified object during his show in Vienna.

As a result, some artists have started warning their fans to refrain from throwing articles during their performances.

During the 41-year-old’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour, which was held at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday (April 20), the rapper was joined by Big Sean and Sada Baby for a sold-out show.

However, an unwanted guest made their presence known during her performance of the hit song 'Starships’ as a fan close to the end of the catwalk threw an item at her.

Watch the moment below:

The object, believed to be a bracelet, narrowly missed Minaj's face and landed on the stage. It was then picked up by the award-winning musician who furiously threw it back in the direction it came from.

Many fans have taken to the comments section to share their reactions to the ‘Super Bass’ rapper.

One user wrote that Minaj “handled that very well,” while another quipped: “She’s not playing either but she kept going love it.”

A third remarked: “Hand and eye coordination on point!!!” and a fourth praised: “This why I love herr.”

Meanwhile, some people contended that the concertgoer was trying to have a “Cardi B moment,” which is a reference to the ‘WAP’ superstar violently tossing a mic at a fan who threw a drink and ice at her last year.

According to Daily Mail, there was a battery probe into 31-year-old Cardi after that incident, but the rapper was cleared of any charges.

Speaking to TMZ, her legal team lawyers told the publication: “This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi.”

“On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept's diligent and prompt resolution of this matter,” they concluded.
